Loudoun County's diverse recreational options and sports assets continue to grow, following USTA Mid-Atlantic's acceptance of a $250,000 Loudoun County Business incentive for a state-of-the-art 36-court tennis campus. The incentive is pending a vote by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors at its March 15 meeting.
Loudoun Economic Development has been working with the USTA Mid-Atlantic's team for years to bring this concept to reality, and today every step of that journey was rewarded with a great project that all Loudouners can be proud of.
In addition to a new headquarters, 20 outdoor tennis courts, 16 indoor tennis courts, 8 pickleball/youth courts and more than 190,000 total square feet of tennis infrastructure, the organization will extend holistic outreach and education programs into the community. Coupled with daily tennis programming, tournaments and community events, the campus is estimated to contribute $8.5 million in economic impact annually.
